Somewhere over the rainbow...

Today was a awesome day.. We went to the first Yankee game this season. We usually go to quite a few games throughout the year, but we always go to at least 1 Yankee vs. Texas game (that's his team).. He thought that it was gonna be cold and rainy so we didn't take Vae with us and prepared for the weather. We dressed in extra layers and even stopped to get a umbrella..(yankee ;p).. It turned out to be great weather though, the umbrella wasn't opened once. The sun was beaming on us and soon the layers came off.













The game was great, pitching the game was my favorite Andy Petite. I was a little sad that Derek Jeter wasn't playing, he had a cold =( but that's okay we did good without him. They hit 2 home runs, 1 by Texeira which I called, he was a former Texas player and I looked at Luis and said "hes gonna hit a home run and BOOM that he did! Then when Luis went off to the bathroom here comes hip, hip Jorge smacking another one..I LOVE him! He is like the ALL time Yankee for me, he has been around since I became a fan. I was wearing his shirt today. WE won with the score of 5-2.. It was a really good game.




When we came home, I was sitting on the couch with the girls and the rain finally decided to come. Zoey says "Look I see a rainbow". I didn't think too much of it, cause she makes up all sorts of things. Ava says "Yeah, Mommy look at the rainbow" It was the most beautiful rainbow I have seen in a long time.. We went downstairs and took pictures of it.. Was drizzling on us and Zoey was loving it.. My girls are gonna love the rain just as much as I DO! What a beautiful thing to see on such a nice day.. A little while after Puti came over for a little "girlfriend time" We were gonna watch a movie, but we ended up chatting at the kitchen table and having a nice time.. It was a REALLY good day!!!

Tomorrow...Tomorrow...

It was just a laid back Saturday. Luis worked and the girls and I stayed indoors, crappy weather today..

Ava loves lasagna so her daddy promised her that every pay day we will buy the stuff to make it. So we walked to food basics to get it, of course while were walking there it starts raining.. It was kind of fun though.. I like to walk in the rain or sing..lol We ended up going with fried dough because the ricotta was so expensive there and Ava said she would rather have fried dough..So it worked out good!


Well tomorrow is my first Yankee game of this season...I am so excited and sad all at once. I am going without Vae. Last game we went to she came with us, she was still breastfeeding then.. It was actually funny cause it was also the first time she used a bottle, I put water in it.. She didn't know what the heck to do with it..lol But anyways I decided to leave her at home cause its supposed to be rainy and cold...I have left her with my mom before to go to the gym and supermarket etc... But not this long.. Kind of bittersweet cause I know that I am gonna miss them but also gonna enjoy the time off...Just can't wait for tomorrow...

Vada, Dorothy and Cindy-Lou...

These are the girls build~ a~ bears. They named them and even made them birth certificates..The things that kids come up with..

Vada- (Ava's)..She is dressed up very pretty, she did have shoes but of course like all there dolls they get stripped very soon after they move in. She had heels which is SO Ava cause she loves heels herself."Vada", she loves the movie "My Girl".Her ponytails that hung so cutely from her long ears also vanished.. But at least she is not written on..



Dorothy- (Zoey's).. She seems to be like a mouse, I think! Which is actually funny cause Zoey loves her cheese. Plus her two front teeth are kinda mouse/bunny like. When she smiles, I see me.Yeah those bunny teeth are from her mommy. Well Dorothy also came with snow boots, hat and a scarf..But the little UN-dressers strike again.. This one was my favorite of all 3.. She named her Dorothy of course it came from "Wizard of Oz", every time someone would call on the phone and ask Zoey what her name was that day, she would always reply the same, "Dorothy.. So only fitting that her bear would be forever more...Dorothy..



Cindy-Lou -Nevaeh's and obviously she didn't name her. I picked the name for her, she fell completely in love with the movie "The Grinch" I mean she would sit through the whole thing and just stare at the TV..It kind of amazed me that at her age she could pay that close attention to a movie.. I think she may just love the name I chose for hers, which is very stylish.. She has jeans and a fancy shirt on..She is the only one that has shoes and hasn't been robbed of her personal belongings..Vae is still little give her time..




So these are the bears in there life's right now.. I wanted to take pictures of them while they are still in one piece..I haven't decided if I am going to put them up on a shelf or if I will just leave them sitting on there dresser where they are now. But we took lots of pics with them and they had lots of fun...Here are some pics of them being silly...





Day 5 of Spring break..Just 1 more day till the Yankee game!!!

Moments for free...

Sometimes the best things are free.. Like our swing set that has given our kids a lot of hours of fun. It was free, we got it off of craigslist and it may be a old set but they enjoy it.. I took the kids outside today on day 4 of Spring break.. Nevaeh just loves her swing. Zoey has fun laying her belly across the seat of the swing and twisting and twisting, then she lets go and spins back..FUN!. She is still learning how to push herself. Ava caught on really fast and can go really high.. It reminds me of the times that my brother Bobby would take me to the park so he could meet girls and stick me on a swing for HOURS.. I would just swing and swing AND swing! I didn't mind though, I was a kid having fun! Just like they did today, we didn't have to go anywhere and spend money just sit in our cozy little backyard and swing...Those are great moments!




Later on we came upstairs and the kids watched TV and waited patiently for the pizza to come. We have ordered a lot of pizza lately but you don't hear me complaining..hehehe Afterwards Jay decided that he wanted to go home.. So after 6 days of being with us..Ding, Dong the kid is gone....(Good times, good times..) But it was a really good week, not as bad as I thought it could have gone..

"Hump Day"...

I learned that saying on Justmommies.. Still makes me laugh. But Yeah, today is day 3 of Spring break. The kids are doing okay, not fighting as much as I expected. Actually we were having fun earlier, we made some fried dough. I SO love fried dough and the only times I really get to eat it is at carnivals or amusement parks. I bought the dough originally to make pizza but then thought more fun and yummy would be to go this way.. Boy were they yummy!


The night was a different story, talk about stressed out. I just wanted to relax and watch a little TV, but the kids were fighting over the TV. Okay 3 kids and 1 TV is gonna cause for a fight..Add 1 mommy PMS'ing to that and yeah not a very pretty site.. Luis came home at 10ish and started fighting with me also but at least he got everyone in bed. YAY "Hump Day" is over...Come on Friday...lol

Well day 2 of Spring break for the kiddos. We go about our regular days as usual, the weather really is getting better the kids have been able to go out and enjoy our beautiful yard. Swing as high as they can and pick flowers, and even play in the dirt. So they play inside for a little while making forts and all the while making huge messes.. But they are having fun so that is what matters..


Later in the day Lucy and Puti came by for coffee, while they were here Luis heated up the chicken from last night and they loved it..I really don't like people eating my food cause I get worried that they will criticize it and they kept complimenting it, and my coffee also. I sometimes make my coffee too strong or to weak.. But this time I was pretty on point with everything..Kind of nice to receive some compliments once in a while!


Later on was TV time and Tuesday really is the best day.. Biggest loser and American Idol, cup of tea and relax...Nice!

Okay Monday!

Well the start of the week "Monday"...Who likes them anyways. blah the kids have off from school this week and Jay is also staying the week.. Please, please don't let them fight all week ***crossing fingers*** Today was a okay day, the kids went outside for a little while and played out back. Luis came home from work early and went to sleep, he went in at 6 so he usually comes out tired. Ava's dentist appointment was at 4 so Jay and I went. It was so horrible watching them do that to my baby. I know its for her own good but still hard to watch. She has 2 more left. =(




After the dentist we went to get something to cook. Ended up making breaded chicken breast, which was real shocking that Jay eats that. He is sooo picky, but he ate quite a bit. I made that with mashies and ranch and bacon macaroni salad..YUMMY! After dinner Puti came by to visit and chat, it was nice to have her over for a little girl time! When she left I finished up the kitchen and went and enjoyed a nice hot cup of tea and watched dancing with the stars.. Off to bed I GO! Turned out to be a Okay Monday!
