Finding my way back...

I woke up tired, Zoey was up last night throwing up with a bad belly ache. She was up tossing, turning and moaning and I could not get to sleep. She woke up fine, I was a mess the rest of the day. I had a huge cup of coffee in the morning and that seemed to help a little bit. The rest of the day was pretty simple and laid back, helped Ava with her homework when she came home. We worked on her sight words also, she is so smart but she rushes through everything that she does, of course playing dress up and fighting with Zoey are much more important.


Dinner:
I was prepared to make chicken strips and macaroni salad for dinner but Puti called and asked me what I was cooking, and reminded me that this is Holy week. I usually only don't eat meat on Good Friday has been like that since I was young, but I figured I could do this one little thing and give up meat for a few extra days..God made sacrifices for us all, and I need to start teaching my girls now about these same things that I learned about growing up. I went to church with my grandmother every Sunday and was very into it and I just have to find my way back..



I do talk to my girls about God and I help them pray at night. I would like to believe that I am helping them to find there religion and to learn about God the best that I can, but I myself am not into it like I should be. I have God in my heart and I believe that he is the reason for all the good in my life and he is always by my side. But I just need to act on my religion and get back into it more, I would like to find a church and attend with my family. I am Catholic, have been since I was younger. I really don't know much about the other religions, kind of ashamed to say that but I was brought up Catholic and just stuck with it. I will let my girls as they get older make there own choices on what religion they follow but I will always secretly hope that they follow in there great grandmothers footsteps just like I am doing.

Boring...

Today was just a boring day, I did nothing but play with my new phone..Texting Melanie all day..lol Let me just say that I simply adore my phone, I was online from my phone today.. I kinda believe that it goes faster then my laptop.. I made some calls for Luis, trying to get our t-mobile phone bill lowered but they said to call back in September..Other than that, watched my favorite Tuesday shows.. Well watching biggest loser now and then going to bed.If Neveah lets me, she fell asleep at 8:30 today and she is now up at 11:17...Ava's dentist appointment is in 2 days =(..Nighty night peeps..

Just a Monday...

Well today was a Monday, and those are never any fun...But Luis had off he had to have his test done this morning..We had to wake up really early to get ready and I took Ava with us so I could drop her off at school, she got to have her first Mcgriddle from mcdonalds.. I had some disagreement with some lady in the drive thru..Way to prove it was a monday morning!


So all together it took 2 hours, I went back early and waited in the waiting room. texting from my NEW phone (LOVE it)..lol He comes out and we stopped at his grandmas house for a little while and visited with her..WE came home and he went to sleep for hours! They did find something, but were staying really hopeful with Gods help and strength that everything is going to be fine..He has been in pain for months, so hopefully they can finally stop the pain...Love you baby and everything is going to be okay...


Now saying Good night and hoping that Tuesday is a much better day!!!!

Sunday Fun-day...

We had a awesome day today! Luis was off so we picked up Isaiah and we all went to Milford mall..He wanted to look at phones cause we have had our boosts for a while now, well he has, mine got washed..yep Michael put it in the wash machine....So anyways we checked a few places and we finally picked out two new phones from t-mobile..Kind of high each month but it has unlimited texting and Internet so that is pretty awesome... I got a Motorola Cliq and he got his blackberry..Were still learning how to work them..lol

We stopped and got some Mickey D's for dinner, well me and the kids cause Luis can't eat, he is having a procedure done tomorrow and couldn't eat all day except for chicken broth..But once we leave the hospital tomorrow he is gonna grub and I am gonna be grubbing with him..lol Praying for my husband and hoping that all goes well with these tests..


Overall it was a good weekend.. Now getting ready for a new week!!

Baking with friends....

Had a good day, earlier in the day the kids and I watched New york minute..They played outside for a little while..We ordered some domino's, YAY for not having to cook..lol Then Puti and Nysia came over and we baked.. We had cookies and we made a cake from her mermaid cake pan...When it was cooling on the counter, along comes Jay being curious and grabs the pan..OUCH he jumped..lol curiosity isn't always a good thing..He was okay just mad that we were laughing at him, I told him I was gonna write about it in my blog ;p..But the cake came out awesome!

I also made a funny earlier when I was talking to Roxanne, we were talking about her taking Carly(bunny)she said I don't want a bunny besides if I had her the cats would go crazy trying to get into her cage..So I said yeah she might get scared and have a heart attack and then we would find her bunny side up..we were Laughing our butts off!!! Sometimes I crack myself up..Well going to bed cause I could hear my husband snoring already.....It was a good day.. Looking forward to tomorrow though cause my hubby is off...

Caffeine is good for my housework....

So I made coffee this morning, woke up very tired..Haven't been sleeping good at night..So I got up this morning and had a big cup of coffee, boy did that help my day.. I gave the girls a bath, Zoey had toothpaste all over the side of her face and in her hair..Way to brush your teeth, Zoey! Then after that I cleaned out my back porch, inside and out..Got rid of a lot of junk that I had in there..


Mommy, "I may be getting WAY to big for this sink now...lol"





Then I cleaned up around the house, was supposed to have company, but they couldn't make it...Well at least everything was clean when Ralph and Roxanne came by to pick up the curtains..Then I started dinner, I made chicken guisado and white rice..It was yummmmmmy! Then after that we made brownies..yummmm Now I am watching New Moon, YES, AGAIN...lol and blogging about my productive day..

Me: "That's a thermometer."

Later that day over dinner...

ME: "Tomorrow is April fools day, Ava"
Ava:" Yay! I am gonna trick everybody tomorrow even the teacher, OH NO not that mean teacher, she has attitude."
Me: "What do you mean, Ava.. She is mean"
Ava:"Yeah she wakes up on the wrong side of the day, everyday" LMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was doing homework with Ava and I tell her that she was doing a very good job and her reply was "I think home is my sweet spot"

Mother strikes again...

Okay for those that don't know, my mom lives with us..She moved in when Ava was born.. She lived with my Aunt before that, they started having little problems here and there, and they also had children sharing a room and just needed the space...So we talked it over and decided that she could come live with us...Been here ever since.. It was either that or her go live in Tennessee or Florida..That is way to far and I wanted the girls to know her..


There has been days that I just want to pull my hair out, see me and my mom have never really got along great living together...She helps me a lot, don't get me wrong.. I really don't know how I would have got along without her all these years..There is good and bad days..WEll today is one of the BAD..lol See my mom is like a surface cleaner, if it looks good on the surface its all good..But she stuffs things away and sweeps under things...Well today I went to go into my girls closet and BOOM, stuff falling out and a big mess....




The girls were having fun, going through all the junk..



WE don't use the girls closets except for coats and sweaters and things that are being stored away for Nevaeh...So I have it blocked off with Zoey's bed, well Miss Fiona (my nickname for her) decided to keep stuffing things in there..Toys that make noise, that she don't want to hear, "OH stick it in the closet", boxes, fans etc.. You name it, It was in there...Ughhh so my morning consisted of cleaning out a closet.. Cause Mom strikes again....

What's up Doc??

Well the girls had there 1st visit to the dentist today..I kinda put it off cause I am totally traumatized by dentists..I kept telling myself they are baby teeth they will just fall out..People kept getting on me to take them. So I finally said let me just take them and get it taken care of..AS the day got closer and closer, I got more nervous..I am pretty sure that I was more scared then the girls..They were totally excited about it.. "today are we going to the dentist"..My friend told me that I would not be able to go inside with them while they did the check up and I was not liking that very much...



My friend referred me to this place and overall it was a good visit..We went in early to sign up, they had a play area for them..They had fun over there while I did all the paperwork..They then called me into a area to ask a few questions about there medical history and while we were in there the dental assistant asked the girls if they liked candy? Ava said "Yeah we like candy!" She says to Ava "who lets you eat candy? Ava said "DADDY" LOL...She told on him!!





Ava had X-rays first, got to wear a smiley vest..Then she did a awesome job of letting the dentist look in her mouth...She even gave me the peace sign while she was getting her teeth cleaned..What a brave girl!She has 4 cavities and they are on her back molars and the dentist said that since those don't fall out till around 11-12 she would have to get them filled...So she will be going back on the first of April =( So not looking forward to that for my baby girl..But I am just happy that we caught it in time, cause she said that if you don't catch them in time you could end up having to have a baby root canal and that doesn't sound good at all!








Zoey wearing her shades..She was being such a big girl, getting her teeth cleaned..She had 0 cavities and everything was good with her..She goes back in 6 months for her next check up! WTG Zoey...She got to color while Ava was being seen..She was pleased about that..They also got to pick out prizes when they left...

Change of plans....

Well tonight didn't go the way it was planned..My company didn't show up.. But I didn't have to cook...My sweet husband let us order out...So we had Domino's..So much for the diet =/ But it sure was yummy.. Now I am watching idol and changing the blog around...

286 days of blog posts...

So I see lots of people doing 365 days of photos..But I am kinda late, and so not good about keeping my camera charged..So I am doing 365 days of Blog posts...But have to start from today..So really its going to be 286 days..(my other posts)...Some might be boring but everyday there will be a post...So far today. I have cleaned my living room and vacuumed out the cushions and of course chatted online with my friends...Then I am having company tonight..Lucy and Puti are coming over to watch Twilight and New Moon..FUN!

Happy Birthday "Gram"

Today My Grandmother would be 94 years old...She was the sweetest, most caring person, I have ever known..I was blessed to have her in my life for 16 years...I can't say that I didn't want to be selfish and have her forever.. I miss her so much and it makes me sad that my girls didn't have the chance to know her and feel her love..I talk about her all the time with my girls, her picture sits on my fireplace and they look at her all the time and refer to her as "there" grandmother. That warms my heart and I know that she watches down on us everyday..

I just wish I knew if she was proud of me, or if I let her down in a lot of the things that I have done growing up...If I can even be half the person that she was that would be great..There was many people that knew my grandmother and loved her..I remember going to McDonald's with her and having happy meals...She collected the toys and would pass them around to the neighborhood kids...She would ride the bus and as she was getting off it was "God Bless you" She read her bible everyday for a hour( I have that bible) and would kiss a picture of Jesus she had hanging on the wall.. I could see her lipstick on there...She was a beautiful, AMAZING woman and I thank God for her being MY grandma! I Miss you Gram and I Love you so much..You will remain in my heart forever...I wear your blessed mother pendant everyday and I feel you with me...Happy "94" Birthday.. 3-22-16 to 8-7-92

Having only a brother, Ava shared a room with Jay for the first 4 years and therefore it always had to be neutral..But as Miss Zoey grew she finally moved in with Ava.. Besides Jay never slept in there, he would either fall asleep on the sofa watching tv or crawl into bed with us.. So I finally decided that it was time that the girls had a proper "Girlie room" I may have went a little overboard on the pink..lol

Ava's crib bedding was winnie the pooh and at that time Jay had a firetruck bed..As she grew we changed her crib into the toddler bed and she used that for a while...I did at one point put a princess border up in one of there rooms and the walls in that room were different on each.. yellow, pink, purple, green....The door had Ava, Zoey and Jay's hand prints on it..That was a pretty cute room..But still not girlie enough.. We then bought bunk beds for the kids and Ava had princess bedding and Jay had sponge bob bedding we didn't set them up as bunk beds though cause no one wanted to sleep on top..lol

They needed a dresser so we purchased one from Goodwill, yep I am so not ashamed to say it..Them rich people donate good things! LOL I cleaned it up and painted it, and it is gorgeous.. I paid 35 dollars and could turn around and sell it for way more than i paid.. I painted the flowers on it with a Q-tip...YES a Q-tip!!! Pics of before and after.. I also bought them bed in a bags from Jcpenney, I got them matching ones so they don't fight over them..lol So this is there new Girlie room and they LOVE it!

This is My First..

Okay so I am gonna give this whole BLOG thing a try..Might as well everyone seems to be doing it.. I sure have a lot to say about my life.. So this is going to be the first of many blogs.. A little introduction.. I am Laurie (33), SAHM to 3 amazing girls. My oldest is Ava she just turned 6 going on 30, Zoey is my second she is 3, turning 4 in May.. Nevaeh is my last baby **tear** she just turned 1. 2 angel babies in heaven forever missing them..I aslo have 2 stepsons..Jay and Isaiah...I am married to my almost all the time loving husband, Luis..he truly is my best friend..We sure have gone through are struggles but here we are 7 years later still going strong...I believe that I am a good person, I try to see the good in everyone.. I don't have many friends..I have about 1 handful of good friends that I could say that are always here for me..But I have many online friends that I just adore...They are my escape from everyday life, cause everyone needs to escape once in a while...So this is the first...Be back with more.Not gonna promise that my blogs are going to be very interesting but they are coming straight from my everyday life...

Well today was our anniversary and WE both forgot...It was just a regular day and Luis was off, but it was crappy outside..raining and cold..So we decided to stay in.. I told him that we needed milk for Vae so he said "Your coming with me" So we go to Food basics and as I am signing the check for Wic..I look at the date and whooosh it hit me like OHH EEEMM GEE its are freakin Anniversary and it all felt like slow motion, I look over at him and was like "Do you know what today is?" I seen his face change and he was like "Our Anniversary" we both were shocked like, we actually forgot our Anniversary...

We laughed about it, but it kinda did make me feel sad..Like how does someone forget that...But my husband was like it happens..Well he says that he was going to his friends to pick up something. (which i already know him) He went and bought me a big vase with the most beautiful roses and my favorite candy..Of course a beautiful card..I LOVE cards..When you open it up it plays unchained melody.. <----Which i just learned the name of it, because it was always the Ghost song..lol But yep "2010" the year we 4-got...
