Still Celebrating....

Today was a rainy day, kind you really don't want to go out in. But I did! We went to return his shoes that he didn't end up wearing after he took hours to pick them out, and the shirt that he also got within those hours of picking out his birthday outfit! They were way more than he wanted to spend so he chose something else at Kohl's for cheaper. We also went looking for a gift for his brother. He picked him out a Redsox hat.(BOO)

When we got home,I helped Ava with her homework. She finally has a new teacher, her original teacher lost her husband and just did not return. So she had a few teachers in between that time come and go. But they finally picked a permanent for her class. She seems really nice. Today she told me that Ava was doing really well and that she was a really good girl. That's always nice to hear about your child!

Luis went out with his brother, there birthdays are a few days apart and so he celebrates his birthday with him also. They went up to the casino. YES, again! My husband LOVES the casino, not only for the free drinks but he loves to play blackjack. I am pretty sure that one of these days he will hit big up there. He says that before I came along he was always coming home with big wins. I guess I ruined his luck ;p

The girls and I spent the night watching some movies and eating Chinese food.. It was really nice. Now they are in bed and I am catching up on my blog and shows from my DVR.. Nightie night!

Whew...

That was a hectic weekend..But it was back to "real life". Back to cleaning and cooking and fighting girls.. The boys came over for a little while cause Luis got out at 3 today. Also Michael came over to spend the day with us. Sometimes he could be a real pain in the arse. But sometimes its kind of nice to have him here, we had hamburgers and fries and watched cop out. He watches soaps with me too sometimes. Funny! But yeah that was our Monday the start of the week and the end of a amazing weekend!

Almost, but not quite...

Yes, we almost went to the casino again....My mother in law lost quite a bit of money, and she was a woman on a mission to get it back. So she called and asked if we wanted to go again. I told Luis that if he wanted to go, that he could but that I was gonna stay home. I don't like to leave the girls with my mom alone for long periods of times. She has anxiety attacks. So I like for there to be someone else with her. Jay was here on Friday and Saturday with her, but he was going home. But they really wanted me to go. So I had a friends daughter come over to stay with them.. But while I was getting ready, they already decided it was too late to go...So plans changed! Talk about: All dressed up and No where to go!

They had already came by so we decided to buy some pizza and watch a movie. Nice quiet night at home, that may have saved us a lot of money!

Guys day out!

Today the guys went out, they went to a Mets vs. Braves game. I don't like either team so I really did not want to go. So he gladly took Jay with him. They had a great time. They took the train there and left nice and early for batting practice, another thing he doesn't get to do when I go. So he was happy about that. His team didn't win, he wasn't too happy about that. But they still had fun. They got a signed ball from one of the players and even got a official ball during batting practice. Jay got his first Braves hat and they took tons of pics. Nice guy's day out!




Meanwhile back at the house, the girls and I, well we had a nice girlie day. Nails and a chick flick!Really nice and quiet day. We watched 13 going on 30, One of my favorite movies.



When Luis was on his way home he calls me to tell me that his mom wanted to go up to the casino. So we went AGAIN only this time we were not as lucky in the winning department. Well I was pretty lucky this time. I swiped my players club card and won $25 dollars, went to change that in, I then put 5 dollars into a $1 slot machine. I ended up turning that into $103. I could have won more but some lady was standing over me, rushing me and just ruined my whole mojo..lol But then Luis took over and lost ALL of it playing blackjack.

We sat at the bar for a while and I even had my first drink since before having Nevaeh and Breastfeeding.. I had 2 strawberry daiquiris and they were pretty yummy! We met a guy at the bar, he was so funny, he was drunk and kept tipping the bartender for everyone to drink. I was telling Antonio that he reminded me of a male Roxanne and Luis said the same thing..He seemed like a nice guy. They took a picture with him..lol



But it was a nice night with the family. We ate at the buffet. It was yummy. The dessert wasn't as good. I let my eyes take over and took way more than I really could eat. I only ate the bread pudding off this big plate of food..Even Luis was stuffed by the time we were done..

Happy 30th Birthday, Baby!

Well he finally got to his big 3 0...I made it there 3 years ago, he is such a slow poke! He took the weekend off to celebrate. We went to get something to wear out, we still had not decided where we were going, just that we were gonna go out.

Well I just have to say that anyone that says that women take longer to shop then men, they really don't know my husband. He is the worst to go shopping with. He takes forever to find a outfit and almost always buys a new pair of shoes to go with it.. He has more shoes then I do. Well a hour or so and 2 stores later he had his outfit.





We went and picked up the boys and came home. His family came over with a cake, and we sang "happy birthday". When they were leaving, his brother calls up and tells us that we have a flat on the van..GREAT! So we were sure that the night was a total wreck. But his friend Diego calls that he would "take the ride" that's how we call it..So he saved the night. We finished getting ready and off we went. We ended up going to Foxwoods and had a really nice time. We even won for a change, its been a long time that we go up there and don't come home broke. I played the slots a little bit but just was not feeling them, he played blackjack at a table with a good group of people..One guy kept talking about his broken finger. Real funny man.






We went to eat at some hamburger place it was really good. We had a good time in there..Luis was being funny even entertained us on the pole..lol He started talking to the waitress and took a pic of us..(he was drunk) Then we took the ride back home. Didn't get home until 5:30 in the morning.. Kissed my girls and went to bed! Turned out to be a pretty good birthday for him!

Hair I Am...

Well today I had the van so I could get a few things done.. I picked up Ava at 12:40 and we went to the salon to cut my hair.. I always say that I am gonna let my hair grow again, but I get tired of it and chop, chop, chop! I have grown to love that posh bob.. Like a hairdresser told me when I was first thinking of getting it.."It's so liberating" LOL and it truly is, your head feels just weightless..its awesome!!! I don't cut it quite as short as the actual posh bob but pretty darn close..Pictures below from all the times I cut it this way...

Girl time..It was awesome to spend time with my big girl, we were at the salon together and I really wanted to have her haircut also..But I want her first time to be with Zoey also..I trim there hair myself but they have not had a actual haircut yet..But I want to do the pictures and all the fun stuff with that day. But it was just a good time with my girl. We went to eat subway afterwards. We were gonna go do our nails too but it was time to get her report card so that has to wait for another day..But I am so looking forward to spending these girl's day out with all of them..It was a really nice preview though..We had a blast at subway..





Getting her report card wasn't as fun =(... She needs improvement with her reading..She is in danger of staying back. I get frustrated cause I do go over her site words with her, and read to her, and she even reads to me. But it's not working..I need to spend a little more time doing this with her. But the teacher told me that her age could also have something to do with it. She is the youngest in her class. She just turned 6 in November. Her pre-k teacher even told me that I could have had her repeat again instead of sending her to Kindergarten cause of when her birthday came.. But Luis didn't like the idea and at the time I just didn't feel that she needed that..But I guess that was the wrong choice.. So hoping for the best..

"She" gives new meaning....

Okay there is daddy's girl and then there is Zoey's version of it...I swear she couldn't be a bigger daddy's girl even if he pushed her out himself. (which I would sooo pay to see that..) But seriously that girl adores her daddy. They all do of course, but the magic between them two is just amazing.. She will tell me, I am Daddy's daughter" So I make a sad face and she will say okay I am "your daughter" and "daddy's daughter"...








When he leaves the house, even to just go to the corner store she shouts "kiss and hug".. When he walks through the door she becomes his shadow.. She absolutely and utterly adores her father.. It's funny cause Ava came out my little twin and her, she looks a lot like him and acts like him too **rolls eyes** she certainly has his temper and his attitude..They even have there own language, well more of a voice but he says something in that voice and she repeats him in that same crazy sounding voice... How fitting that his "daddy's girl" is named after his mom.. But he gave her the nickname Moo-moo and almost 4 years later that name has still stuck....Moo-Moo gives new meaning to being a daddy's girl....
