Girl, Girl, Girl.....Great!

So I love having all girls...But there are times that I really-really LOVE it even more...It really has it's ups....

1.They can all take a bath together..Really cuts bath time down..

2.Hand me downs..I save everything. clothes, shoes, toys etc..I save a lot of money this way..Plus since Ava is so tiny at the moment, they actually pretty much fit each other's clothes so they share most of there clothes..I know that won't last long..Soon it will be
"Stop going in my closet"
"That's my sweater"...
"Those are my shoes"...

3.My girls share a room. Right now we live in a 2 bedroom apartment. So I have Ava and Zoey together..If were here a lot longer. *Which I SO hope not* Vae may join them in there.. I know that as they get older it will be a complaint..
"I want my own room"
" I need my own privacy"
"Please knock before you come in MY room"
..but for now there okay sharing!

4.Girls night is really awesome..We don't have to fight with anyone about what kind of movie we watch..always GIRLIE and of course painting the nails and toes..makes for a great girlie night! I know one day it may be..

"Going to the movies with friends"
"I have plans, mom.Busy"

5.I love the way they love each other..They are not only sisters they are "BEST FRIENDS"

You know most of the things that go on now, the sharing and getting along won't last, so I am gonna cherish it. I know that soon it will be a house full of teenage girls always fighting..Shh I won't admit it to too many people but I am actually looking forward to that..BUT NOT TOO SOON though...lol

Recovery and "Back 2 School"

Well that was a long and hard recovery for my girl..She was in SO much pain. Moments of just uncontrollable screaming and crying in pain...I kept going over it in my head.."Did I need to do this surgery" Was it really worth the pain she is in" "Will she ever forgive me" =( It's really hard to watch your child in pain and not be able to do anything about it..

The first few days she stayed in bed the whole time..She would get out of bed only to use the bathroom..She threw up the first night, most likely from the anesthesia. She didn't really want to eat or drink. But I kept pushing them both, but mostly the liquids..What kid don't want lots of ice cream..Mine!!

I stopped the meds they gave her from the hospital because they were hurting her stomach. I tried Motrin at that point..I continued to use that, but of course Motrin is tough on the belly too, plus me and my googling..It was talking about "more likely to cause bleeding" and I freaked..So I stopped that one also. I was doing just plain acetaminophen..it did help with the belly pain..

About 3 to 4 days after she started getting out of bed a little more...Especially when the meds were working..I would let her go on the laptop to play, she loved that. One night we even stayed up really late and finger painted while everyone else was sleeping. I just loved seeing her smile, it was like sunshine through a really bad storm..Anything that could make her forget the pain, even if it was only for a little while..

The nights were still the worse..She would wake up hitting her head cause the pain must have been that bad..Then she would fight me to take the meds..She tried spitting it out..I just wanted to take that pain from her..=(

Day 5 to 8 was SO much worse..It was not only bad at night..It was bad pretty much all day. I heard from a few people and the hospital that, this was because the scabs were coming off...OUCH!!!!! She was in SO much pain! Then the way they had her on the table must have gave her a sore neck, cause she could barely move her head..The meds didn't really do anything for her.

After that it would just be the occasional whine here and there..but overall she was feeling better..

Monday was Columbus day so she had the day off anyways..So I was gonna send her on Tuesday but she was whining a little the night before and she didn't finish a few pages from her packet of homework..So I gave her one more day..

But today she went "Back to school" When she came home and I asked her how her day was..she said "It was the best day ever" She brought her tooth to show everyone..Silly girl..

Thank God..It was a really hard recovery, but YES it was worth it..Because do you hear that?? Nope, not a peep from my sleeping Ava...
People the operation was a success!

Bye-Bye Tonsils..HELLO Popsicles!

Like the book says "My Surgery" today was Ava's big day they were removing her tonsils and adenoids. She got the royal treatment. Piggy back ride up the elevator and through the hallways to where we signed her in..

There was a awesome waiting room, filled with lots of fun stuff for her. Toys, books and movies.. So she played, and we were even about to put Pinocchio in to watch when they called her in..

It was a pretty long wait. But the hospital made it a nice experience during the time "before the surgery"..The doctor came in and talked to us and asked some questions and asked if we had any for him.. Then another women came in to talk to Ava on how to use the mask, how she would have to blow a bubble with it, and even let her pick out a smell to put inside..She picked bubble gum! Then she let her pick lots of stickers for her jammies..

There was even CLOWNS..they came to the door and there names were Dr.Chester Drawers and Lily Pad..they were really funny. It was a really good way to keep Ava calm.

Even though I have to say my girls a trooper. She wasn't even nervous. She played and drew on the coloring book and all the while not even scared..Brave Girl I got! Mama not so much.. I was scared and trying not to show her. I shed a few tears while she wasn't looking. I couldn't bare to think of my daughter being in a cold OR room on a table, put to sleep and them cutting her..I was just not doing well with all the thoughts of what could happen..

It was time to go back and they asked her if she would go take a walk with them or if they wanted me to go with her, and my heart was screaming please, please let her say she wants me to go with her, and she did just that. The sweetest words "I want my mommy to come"..Her daddy was in the bathroom so we waited a few for him to come and see her off to surgery..Then we started walking and I could feel the nerves in full force..

The room is cold and so bright..We sit her up on the table and it feels like everything is moving so fast. They lay her down and give her the mask and tell her to blow them a balloon like they showed her. So she starts and I am holding her hand and she starts to want to push the mask off and one of them says to me..It may look a little scary cause she may start kicking and moving all around, but it's just part of her falling asleep..Sure enough her legs starting going up and her hands were moving up to the mask..She was fighting pretty hard. They were like she is strong..YES, she is! I wasn't! every fiber in me wanted to rip that mask off of her and take her out of that room! But next thing you know she was OUT! Snoring..yes, snoring really lout at that..My girl said it..When I told her that they would put her to sleep, she said there gonna say.."wow this girl snores loud" and that is basically what they said..

Crying the whole way, one of the nurses walked me back out to a waiting room where my husband was waiting..He laughed at me.."Laurie, your crying" Stop it, she is gonna be fine" Such a Dad thing to say.. He never worries, he is always so calm and sure about everything. I think he knows that I worry enough for both of us..He was in there eating bagels and reading the paper..I just sat there with tears in my eyes and looking at the clock. It seemed like forever. But in all reality it was actually VERY quick..Maybe 20 minutes, if that!

The doctor comes out and walks up to me. He says to me "that everything went well and hands me a little specimen cup..mind you I am thinking WTH is that.. I don't want her tonsils..LOL. He says "her tooth came out during surgery and they left this for her" and hands me a dollar..I was SO excited.. My baby was okay. Thank God AND she lost her FIRST tooth!!!!I knew she was going to be so excited about that!

They call us to go back with her and when I am walking from a distance I see her sitting up and crying and moving her arms around..OMG I had to run to her..She was still very groggy and the anaesthesia was making her nose itchy so she kept rubbing her nose! I tried to comfort her but she was so out of it..I was trying to hold her against me and the nurse finally took her out of the bed and I rocked her in the rocking chair until she was calm enough and then we put her back in the Bed! She slept!

When she came too, she was really excited cause daddy bought her a big balloon. I told her that I had a BIGGER surprise for her but she had to say "CHEESE" and take a picture to take a picture...Then we showed it to her and asked her what she noticed..took her a bit to notice but she got it..MY TOOTH...OMG was she excited!!

She got to rest some more and even got to pick a toy, then the clowns came by to see her again..She got a wheelchair ride to the car..Off to home we went..Thank you God that the surgery was a success! I knew it would be, but what can I say I am a MOM!

Is this what it takes??

So last night the power went out. I was cooking dinner(Late)cause I did a lot of running around yesterday..washing clothes, visiting Marylou etc...

Well I started hearing loud thundering and it was pouting rain, so I knew and so I started getting the flashlights and candles out..Sure enough. Lights out!! I was still cooking, thank God for a gas stove..Talk about moonlight dinner.

Luis says "Is this what it takes for us to all eat dinner together" We usually eat separate. So it was nice..

The girls were telling "ghost stories" at the table..Zoey said "the tooth fairy came and said **In a scary voice** Gimme that tooth..and didn't leave money they left chocolate instead..REAL scary!

Drunken Braves Fan...

Well since Luis does sacrifice seeing my team a lot through baseball season, I did the same..We went to see a Met's vs. Braves game..They are all huge Braves fans! So they had a blast! I just like the excitement of the game. So it was fun. We took lots of pictures and my husband got way drunker then he should have..But, yeah fun times!

His team won so they were super excited and of course drunk and happy go together really well..NOT!!He was so LOUD the whole way out of the stadium..Bad enough he was not rooting for the HOME team..So everyone was looking at him really funny when he was screaming "Let's go Braves" in a Mets stadium..Oh its even worse at Yankee games when he is rooting for the other team..Yankee fans are no joke..I should know I am one...;-)

But yeah it was still fun even though I wasn't rooting for either team..But something about my husband making a complete ASS out of himself just makes me laugh..

This kid was another fellow Brave fan amoung a stadium full of Mets fans..So he went up to him and said..I like this kid..take a picture of us..

This crazy drunk Ass jumped in front of the cop car and said...take a picture of me..The way he was acting.I told he was lucky I didn't have to take a picture of him IN THE COP CAR...LOL!

He took a picture in the outhouse tooo, but there is no way I am putting that crazyness in my blog!!!LOL!

They got to GO!!

Well today was Ava's ENT appointment. The office was really nice. Big blackboard, where Ava had fun playing teacher..I am glad we got the appointment so fast..

Her snoring has got out of control, it being loud is one thing but a few times I listened to her it sounded like she was losing her breathe. So I said yeah it's time to see whats going on..

Of course I am the "Queen" of google, so I already kind of knew that it could be the tonsils and adenoids coming out..So I was right..The doctor put this thing up Ava's nose which she didn't like so much. But she got it up enough to see that they were really huge, she could hear how she was breathing just from sitting in front of her..

So we made the appointment for the 30th of this month. I don't want to put it off. I am SO nervous this is the first time any of my kids have a surgery..Getting put to sleep was scary for me and she is so little SO I am really scared..She is fine with it so far..She doesn't quite understand what it means.. I tried to explain without mentioning any needles to her..That they will put her to sleep and the clown that she is starts making jokes..She says:

"When they hear how loud I snore there gonna say WOW this girl snores really loud" Then she says "They won't be able to concentrate" OMG me and Luis were cracking up..

So yep my baby is gonna be tonsil and adenoid free on the 30th and I am gonna be a wreck that day!!

But as she says after that she will have a "quiet sleep" She is a clown!!!

Saying AYO...gotta let go...

You know how certain things just make you happy..Could be a place, a smell...Well this song, my song your hearing right now..Makes me super happy..When it comes on the radio, doesn't matter what my mood is.I just want to sing and "throw my hands up in the air" The girls sing with me..They love it toooo..

So in case I change my song which I will soon...This is the song...

Taio Cruz Dynamite lyrics

I came to dance, dance, dance, dance
I hit the floor
'Cause that's my, plans, plans, plans, plans
I'm wearing all my favorite
Brands, brands, brands, brands
Give me space for both my hands, hands, hands, hands
You, you
Cause it goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes
Saying AYO
Gotta let go
I wanna celebrate and live my life
Saying AYO
Baby, let's go

'Cause we gon' rock this club
We gon' go all night
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite
Cause I told you once
Now I told you twice
We gon' light it up
Like it's dynamite

I came to move, move, move, move
Get out the way me and my crew, crew, crew, crew
I'm in the club so I'm gonna do, do, do, do
Just drop the phone, came here to do, do, do, do

Yeah, yeah

Cause it goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes
Saying AYO
Gotta let go

SING ALONG...you will feel it too
