Today Surgery Day...

Well today was Luis's ear surgery..They would have to go and make it at 6 in the morning..FML<~~I like using that..lol..Anyways I got like NO sleep last night, neither did Luis he went fishing.. Were both crazy.. I think I got like a little under 3 hours sleep..But hey, had to get up..

We get there and they start to check him in and he changes,he was acting silly with his hospital gear on..So I was taking pictures with my phone!



They took him in and I decided to wait there even though it would be hours..I went to the family lounge. I had to give Luis's name and they gave me a little round thing, it was my beeper, it works all through the hospital. When it beeps you go back there and that means the surgery is over and the doctor is coming to talk to you.. When it beeps the second time, he's in recovery and someone will take you to them..PRETTY COOL!

There was bagels and pastries, coffee and juice..All kinds of goodies so I had a bagel and some coffee...then I went to the other part where there were a whole bunch of rooms with sofas and chairs, there was tables and outlets for my laptop which I of course brought with me, thank God for Wifi.. There was also a tv but I was too busy on my laptop and texting Mel..Thank goodness she is a morning person!

So I waited and the first beep came about a good hour and a half later..The doctor said that all went well with the surgery! That it was exactly what he suspected.. They would do the other side in 6 months!

So off I went for the recovery time..Which was at least another 2 hours..I had another bagel and a pastry..I was on like coffee #3 and even had made a few friends.. I met a young lady and her grandmother that were waiting for there daughter/mom that was having both her breasts removed! How sad I felt for them..So I am hoping for the best for them! God please bless that women and that family!

All in all it wasn't too bad.. I was there for hours but how nice the hospital was..Not like our hospitals in our town..The last beep came as I was finishing my second bagel and it was time to go see my hubby! When I got to the room he was still a little groggy, but he was fine! We got him dressed and home we went.
