Compliments...

Well day 2 of Spring break for the kiddos. We go about our regular days as usual, the weather really is getting better the kids have been able to go out and enjoy our beautiful yard. Swing as high as they can and pick flowers, and even play in the dirt. So they play inside for a little while making forts and all the while making huge messes.. But they are having fun so that is what matters..

Later in the day Lucy and Puti came by for coffee, while they were here Luis heated up the chicken from last night and they loved it..I really don't like people eating my food cause I get worried that they will criticize it and they kept complimenting it, and my coffee also. I sometimes make my coffee too strong or to weak.. But this time I was pretty on point with everything..Kind of nice to receive some compliments once in a while!

Later on was TV time and Tuesday really is the best day.. Biggest loser and American Idol, cup of tea and relax...Nice!

Okay Monday!

Well the start of the week "Monday"...Who likes them anyways. blah the kids have off from school this week and Jay is also staying the week.. Please, please don't let them fight all week ***crossing fingers*** Today was a okay day, the kids went outside for a little while and played out back. Luis came home from work early and went to sleep, he went in at 6 so he usually comes out tired. Ava's dentist appointment was at 4 so Jay and I went. It was so horrible watching them do that to my baby. I know its for her own good but still hard to watch. She has 2 more left. =(

After the dentist we went to get something to cook. Ended up making breaded chicken breast, which was real shocking that Jay eats that. He is sooo picky, but he ate quite a bit. I made that with mashies and ranch and bacon macaroni salad..YUMMY! After dinner Puti came by to visit and chat, it was nice to have her over for a little girl time! When she left I finished up the kitchen and went and enjoyed a nice hot cup of tea and watched dancing with the stars.. Off to bed I GO! Turned out to be a Okay Monday!

Weekend News...

Well our weekend was pretty good, as usual it goes way too fast. On Saturday Luis was off and we went and did a few things and spent time with his family. Celebrated my moms birthday over there. The kids got to play with there cousins that they don't get to see often enough. Ava just loves her cousin Jada, those two would be best friends, maybe even partners in crime if they lived near each other. But for now they enjoy seeing each other whenever they are down from Jersey.

Today was just a lazy regular day, cleaned up a little and mostly trying to catch up on my DVR space. I have way to many One life to lives on here. Really looking forward to Ava having the week off from school. Jay is spending is week off with us also.. Just hope that its a peaceful week and not constant fighting between siblings. The girls do harass him quite a bit. So lets see how this week goes!

Things I am totally excited about.. We are going to our first Yankee game of "2010" this coming weekend. YAY!

My guilty pleasure
: The bunny that sits in my freezer! Yep, I love Easter hollow bunnies.. they are a must have every year. 50-75% off and I get a few to have. I put them in my freezer and snack on them throughout the day. Not a good thing that is why its called my Guilty Pleasure But here he is my little friend...

"Mom"

Today is my moms 64th birthday..We went out to Walmart which is her favorite store,( mine too) and we took the kids to McDonald's. We went to my Mother in laws house and bought a cake for her and sang "Happy Birthday" to her.. It was a pretty nice day..

My Mom and I...

We have not always had the best relationship. We fight way more than we should and disagree on a lot of things. My mom has a learning disability and had problems in school, she did not go to far in school because my grandmother didn't want the other kids to make fun of her. So that didn't help with her life growing up. There was many things that my mom didn't understand and couldn't help me understand as a teen. I always felt sad that I couldn't do those mother/daughter things and have those girl talks. I felt like I missed out on those things. It even made me mad at her at times..

But as I grew up and became a mom, I realized that she was a MOM to me in all the ways that really mattered. It's not the grade you go to in school, or how smart you are. It's how you love, and she loved me completely. She has always been here for me when times get hard. That is exactly what a Mom does...So I don't feel like I lacked anything, I feel blessed that she was picked to be my "MOM".

TGIF...

So today was just a regular day again.. Like most days are in my house. Maybe the most fun part of the day was watching princess and the frog and eating Chinese food.. Luis got to go out with his friends, he only went to a friends and played cards but still its human adult time. Which Laurie sees none of that. Well its the weekend and Luis is off so I am looking forward to at least a good weekend. My Mom's birthday is tomorrow so hopefully she will have a great day..

Little things...

So sometimes its the little things that make you smile the most. Luis and I have been bumping heads for a couple days now.. The same fight all the time, which he always says "Why don't you BLOG about that" So here I go. He says that I spend WAY too much time on the computer. Uh, yeah I do! But hello besides my mom, this is the only way to have "adult" conversation. That saying that goes my friends live in my computer is so true. I have great friends online and sometimes that is exactly how it feels, I come to my computer and open it and I already know that someone is going to be there to listen to me vent or just talk about nothing.. LOL!

He says that I neglect the house, we live in a 2 bedroom apartment with 6 people. 3 of them kids, so yeah its lived in alright. Not even close to being dirty. I would mostly consider it cluttered, especially my room. We have way too many clothes and not enough dresser space. My kitchen for the most part is always clean. There is toys usually in the living room and even the dining room. What is the worse part about HIM saying that is he is THE messiest person ever. Walks through the door and wallet goes here, shoes go there, pants on the floor.MESSY! So okay if you were like a Mr. Clean then I could understand how this would bother him a tad bit.

Well anyways the main reason for this post was to say that even though my husband can be a royal pain in the behind, he does these really sweet things sometimes that make me realize that he can also sometimes be sweet.. Even little things like sending me a text message to tell me: You r the greatest wife in the entire world. U may not be the neatest and organize but u the best. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart with lots of love. That is what I woke up to this morning..

Wish I could...

Today Ava had to have her cavities filled. My poor baby girl! I hated the dentist as a child, well actually I hate the dentist as a adult to. I wanted Luis to go with her so he could see that bringing them candy all the time is not the greatest idea. Plus the idea of watching her in all that pain, not so sure that I would be the greatest support. He send me a text from in there, mind you I was in the same parking lot just a little bit down, grocery shopping. When I got the text that she was crying, ever ounce of the protecting mommy kicked in and wanted to run over there, but all I could do was stand in the aisle of the grocery store and cry with her.

I know that it's something that she has to have done, but I hate to see my girls in pain or even hear it. He sent me another text that she was okay. They ended up having to do a baby root canal on her tooth. The hole was too big, I just pray that not all of them are like that. They only did one cause she is so tiny they didn't want to have to give her too much anesthesia at once, Which I understand with my mind but my heart is like, does she really have to go back and do this all over again 3 more times..Talk about one of those moments where your really feel helpless as a mommy! If I could take her place, I would..

I know that we can't protect them from every kind of pain that they will have to endure, but you can damn well believe that if Its something in my power to keep them safe, I will! I would gladly give my life for any one of my girls in a heartbeat..There my world and not having them in my life would make me Incomplete.
